The Padres have placed 25-year old righty swinging OF/1B Kyle Blanks on the 15-day disabled list due to a left shoulder strain. Blanks has played in 4 games for the Padres this year and he is 1 for 5 (.200 avg, .533 OPS). He has now played in 146 games in his first four years in the majors and he is 93 of 425 (.219 avg, .737 OPS) with 59 runs scored, 20 homers, 63 RBIs and 4 stolen bases.
