I really liked the way the Padres were playing at the end of last year. I think they were smart about spreading out their free agent money netting Jon Garland, Yorvit Torrealba and Jerry Hairston. I really think that the Padres are going to be a lot better than most people think but I don’t think it will show much in the win/loss column. I have a feeling that Chase Headley is going to have a big year moving back to his natural 3B in 2010. I think the Padres will finish in last place in the N.L West again this season but I think they will win more than 71.5 games in 2010 so I would take the over.
