Kyle Banks is swinging a hot stick in AA ball for the San Diego Padres

If 21-year old righty swinging 1B Kyle Banks played any other position he would probably be up with the Padres by now. But, he’s blocked in the majors by Adrian Gonzalez who’s one of the best at his position in the majors. Banks has played in 83 games in AA ball this season and he is 97 for 298 (.326 avg, .906 OPS) with 46 runs scored, 10 homers and 57 RBIs. Banks is 6′6″, 270 pounds so it’s highly unlikely that he would be able to switch positions so his future might be with another team through a trade.
